Irish filmmaker Brendan Muldowney (Pilgrimage) made a short film in 2004 entitled The Ten Steps, revolving around the possibility of evils inside the cellar of an ancestral home. The short did so well and it inspired Muldowney to write a feature length version entitled The Cellar, starring Elisha Cuthbert and Eoin Macken. The film will be released in theaters and on Shudder on April 15.
