
With the recent announcement of Black Creek: Retribution, the sequel to Cynthia Rothrock’s martial arts Western, it weas announced that a new sheriff is taking the helm and it is a legend in the stunt industry.
Luke LaFontaine will be directing the sequel, which brings back Rothrock as the new sheriff Rose Jennings, successfully avenging her brother and cleaning her hometown up. However, an even bigger threat is coming to town and Jennings must fight her way again.
The cast includes returning Brandy Futch, Vince Cecere, and Kevin Indio Copeland and new cast members include Kurt McKinney, Mike Moller, and Skylar Rothrock as a young Rose.
LaFontaine, who had studied martial arts since childhood, is a legend in the stunt industry with four decades of experience. He can be seen in films like Wicked Game/Extreme Heist, Ring of Steel, 18 Fingers of Death, and some Power Rangers series. He choreographed the fights of Jesse V. Johnson’s Savage Dog, starring Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror, The Mercenary starring Dominiquie Vandenberg and The Workout starring Peter Jae.
He made his directorial debut this year on Mexicali, starring Bren Foster and Kris Van Damme.
