Being a one-man army has its perks, but as life can sometimes take over, I get a lot of trailer for some upcoming films and my scheduling, I admit, will sometimes take time to post individually. So this post will focus on trailers to upcoming indie and global film releases…so let’s go ahead and see what’s in store this month!

Premiering at Tubi FrightFest in London on August 30 is Dracula: The Night Around Us.

Dr. John Seward, a depressed doctor at an asylum for the criminally insane, finds a rare glimmer of hope when he connects with his new neighbor, Mina, and her young daughter, Lucy. But beneath the city streets, an ancient evil stirs in the sewers. Dracula is building a harem of undead brides, and he soon sets his sights on Lucy.

When Dracula brutally slaughters the child and forces Mina into a blood-pact that leaves her raving and committed to John’s asylum, John is pushed to the edge. Guided by nightmarish visions, John descends into the subterranean darkness to stake Dracula and end the curse. But confronting the monster exacts a terrifying toll, shattering John’s sanity and transforming him into the very terror he set out to destroy.

Set to release on August 21 in a limited theatrical release before a Digital release on September 29 is the true-story survival story 10 Kilos, starring Danielle Kertesz as Sharon Yitzhaki,  a young woman arrested in Bolivia after being caught with ten kilos of cocaine and sent into the infamous Miraflores prison — a brutal world where inmates rule and survival depends on instinct, alliances, and control. As Sharon navigates cartel politics, violence, and shifting loyalties, she must find the strength to survive a system designed to break her.

Coming to AVOD platforms this Friday (August 14) is the action sequel City of Heroes: Choices, starring actor and martial artist Jose Luis Torres II.

Also on AVOD this Friday (August 14) from Breaking Glass Pictures is A Beautiful Distraction starring and directed by the amazing Deborah Twiss (who co-directed with Marcus Slabine)
