In this exclusive interview, I talk to Matt Sukkar, a photographer who makes his feature film directorial debut on The Deputy, revolving around the titular rookie hired to watch a dead body, but when the body disappears, he finds out something bigger is in store, connecting everything and everyone around him.

The film, starring Duke Nicholson, William H. Macy, Stephen Dorff, and Tifanny Haddish, will be in select theaters and on Digital on September 25.
