As you may have heard, two months after her induction to the Indie World Cinema Hall of Fame, the horror fandom had lost one of its all-time greats, “Kreepazoid Kelly” Barlow, after a valiant fight with cancer.

At this year’s Indie World Cinema Awards, as an addendum to the Hall of Fame tribute, a special tribute to Kelly is being planned. During her fight against cancer, she kept a very positive spirit and showcased her love of the horror genre as well as those from one of the greatest indie film companies, Troma Entertainment.

This is where you come in. If you knew Kelly, had a chance to get to know her, or even if you met her briefly and had a positive experience, I would love to hear your thoughts on her as part of this tribute.

I shared some thoughts in my tribute post to her, but will expand more in the tribute video because I had known her since 2021 and getting to know her as a fan of the genre and as a genuine human being is something I will forever cherish.
