2010 was a stellar year in the world of Korean cinema with the release of the thriller The Man from Nowhere, which proved to be a groundbreaking role for actor Won Bin as a pawnshop owner with a past who must protect his only friend, a young girl, from a drug and organ trafficking ring.

The Korean film’s production company, CJ Entertainment, has given the remake rights to New Line Cinema after an attempt to develop a remake at Dimension Films has fallen through.

At this time, it is unknown who will be involved in the remake, but if the result is as gritty as the original film, then this could be an action treat. Stay tuned for more details regarding to the remake.
