Ms. 45. Nude Nuns with Big Guns. The Creeps. Three examples of “nunsploitation” action thrillers and now, Fabricated Crime plans to keep it going with their film Sister Beretta and now you can help through their IndieGoGo campaign.

The story goes according to the IndieGoGo campaign page:

New Detroit, 1984. The city is a neon-soaked hellscape ruled by gangs, corruption, and despair. Sister Beretta, a devout nun pushed beyond her breaking point, witnesses an unspeakable atrocity that shatters her faith and ignites a holy war. She sheds her habit for leather, arms herself to the teeth (starting with her namesake Beretta), and unleashes righteous fury on the underworld.

Expect bullet-riddled confessionals, explosive convent raids, sacrilegious shootouts, and a nun who prays with her trigger finger. This is pure grindhouse: fast, furious, bloody, irreverentand dripping with retro 80s sleaze, heavy metal riffs, and exploitation excess.

We’re building this as a micro-budget indie feature shot on gritty 16mm for authentic texture, blending practical effects, green-screen pre-viz (using AI tools for storyboarding and concepting), real locations, and human-driven creativity. No AI replacement here; it’s a tool to fuel the real heist.

The film has recently announced three major cast members: Indie World Cinema Hall of Famers Debbie Rochon and Lloyd Kaufman are set to play “Mother Superior” and “The Pope” respectively and one of this generation’s amazing horror queens, Jessa Jupiter Flux, has also been cast in the film!
