A road trip becomes a wild and wacky adventure…especially when one of the passengers is a Sasquatch?!

Robert and Sam work at a North Carolina park as local rangers. Robert comes across a discovery as each morning, he wakes up, walks in the woodsy area and sends a candy bar to the mythological creature known as the Sasquatch. However, on this fateful day, the two are in for a major shock. Alphazon, a megatech conglomerate, has bought the park off with the intention to turn it into a solar farm.

Learning that the trees would have to be cut down, Robert tells Sam about the Sasquatch. When Sam learns the creature was real, he comes up with an idea. He convinces Robert to go on a road trip and bring the Sasquatch to a natural habitat in Tacoma, Washington. As the trio heads to Washington, chaos is set to ensure. Not to mention they are being followed by a mysterious man who will do anything to prove the Sasquatch is real. This will be a trip they will never forget.

This funny as heck road trip comedy feels like it could have been a sequel to Harry and the Hendersons if it would revolve around the titular Bigfoot himself. From the film’s production, you never would imagine that this was shot in only 12 days with a budget of less than $20,000. The film is a wild and wacky adventure with two park rangers and the titular “Squatch” as they embark from North Carolina to Washtington (state).

Marcus Mull is funny as the “by-the-book” Robert, a park ranger who by the opening, has already discovered the sasquatch, played hilariously at times by Aaron Clark. However, with Robert as the “by-the-book” type character, it’s only fitting that Lyle Jones’ Sam is the more outgoing one. The two couldn’t be more polar opposites but somehow their chemistry is the heart of the film along with Clark’s Sqautch, who is a lot smarter than the creature is believed to be.

Where else would you see a sasquatch put on his own clothes? Or do art on an Etch-a-Sketch? Or even drive the van himself while Robert and Sam are sleeping? There are a few crazy supporting characters that have to be mentioned, including Ryker Blackwood’s conspiracy theorist, who looks like he came out of the 70’s-80’s metal era, following the trio to prove the creature is real. If that’s not wild enough, when the trio run into Robert’s grandmother in Idaho, it leads to a hilarious sequence where Squatch stays with her while Robert and Sam get a job for a day overseeing a fireworks stand to disastrous results. But it’s what Robert’s grandmother did with the Squatch that is laugh out loud hilarious (and it’s meant in a family-friendly way, you dirty minded people! LOL)

Squatch is fun, wild, and wacky in a great way. The polar opposition between Marcus Mull’s Robert and Lyle Jones’ Sam really helps but Aaron Clark’s titular Bigfoot is hilariously intelligent and really makes the film one to watch! Check it out!
