After competing in The Last Kumite, German action star Mathis Landwehr is back and he’s ready to unleash the Lion Fist in a brand new martial arts film set for a digital release in September.

Martial artist Joe (Landwehr) emerges from four years of wrongful imprisonment to devastating news: His son needs an expensive operation to survive a life-threatening tumor. With no other options, Joe enters a brutal martial arts tournament offering $100,000 in prize money. Under Grandmaster Wu’s intense training, he faces some of the world’s strongest fighters but discovers his opponents will do anything to win.

The supporting cast includes Li Yanlong, Kurt McKinney, Keith Cooke, Bruce Akuesson, David Yeung, and Gary Daniels. Taim M. Adams takes the helm with Mike Moller returning as the film’s action director. The film is co-written by Keith W. Strandberg, the man behind the cult classic No Retreat, No Surrender.

Capelight Entertainment will release the film on Digital on September 15.
